Carlow Coatings is a progressive, 2nd generation family run business based in Carlow Town offering the service of Powder Coating to Aluminium, Mild Steel, Galvanising, Stainless Steel and Cast Iron.

We currently have capacity to coat the following items and continue to service our customer base with these items:

• Aluminium Cappings, Cladding, Doors Windows, Louvres and Extrusions
• Mild Steel Machinery, Gates, Railings, Equipment, Automotive, Healthcare, Pharma, Industrial
• Galvanised Gates, Railings, Machine Parts
• Stainless Steel Signage, Bollards, Balcony Posts
• Automotive Rims, Underbody parts, Rocker Covers

All our work is completed in house with our only external partner, Shannonside Galvanising in Limerick. Our Shotblasting room can accommodate parts 6m long * 3m wide, anything from fertiliser bogies,
large gates, machine parts all blasted with Chilled Iron to achieve a finish according to ISO 8501 and Swedish Standards.

Our Powder Coating batch oven can accommodate items up to 8m long with varying widths and heights. This is a twin burner gas oven recently constructed and highly efficient piece of equipment. Currently we operate our two Powder Coating guns with our partners in Gema, we have two Optiflex
2 manual operated guns with high coverage and extreme productivity while producing a smooth finish.
We are operating to the BS EN standards, BS EN 12206:2006 for all aluminium works and BS EN13438:2013 for all Galv / Duplex Coatings along with Qualisteel specifications for all mild steel works. We also adhere to our powder suppliers guidelines when coating steelwork with the range of primers, topcoats and finishes required as per specification.

We undertake testing at our facility to ensure correct adhesion, powder thickness, curing times, hardness tests and impact testing all too relevant standards. All equipment is supplied by Elcometer and calibrated and certified to agreed standards.
